Variables
Black-capped Chickadee
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with less than 6%
big sagebrush shrubland and no sagebrush steppe and relatively little
public land. Where the area of big sagebrush shrubland is greater, more
likely to occur if region is northeast Oregon or if topography is varied.
The logistic regression analysis showed positive or negative
association with towns and cities, big sagebrush shrubland, stream
density, elevation (hex. avg.), the extent of public land, and-to a
lesser degree-April precipitation (hex. max.).
